Workshop information:

10 a.m.-1 p.m., Tuesday, Sept. 29, 2026 — City Hall Atrium, 30 Church Street

The City of Rochester is inviting homeowners age 65 and older, or turning 65 by December 31, 2027, to attend a free workshop to learn how they may qualify for property tax savings through the City’s Senior Citizen Tax Exemption and other available tax relief programs.

The City will host workshops where homeowners can receive one-on-one assistance, ask questions about eligibility, and learn what documents are needed to apply. The workshops are designed to help eligible seniors take advantage of tax exemptions that can make it more affordable to remain in their homes.

September 18, 9-10:30AM, Harro East Building (400 Andrews Street, Suite 100, Rochester NY)

We’re bringing together neighborhood associations and community organizations from across Rochester for a morning of conversation and connection.

The goal is simple: share experiences, talk about the challenges communities are facing, learn from one another, and identify ways we can better support the work already happening in our neighborhoods.
